e-DIVA website launch
HOPE Scholar, Tara Sani, has been working on e-DIVA (Empowering Dementia Carers with an iSupport Virtual Assistant), a website to support carers of people living with dementia across New Zealand - this website is about to be launched and you are invited.
Kia ora,
On behalf of the Empowering Dementia Carers with an iSupport Virtual Assistant (e-DiVA) New Zealand team, I am pleased to invite you to the online launch of our e-DiVA website.
This five-year project aims to improve the lives of family carers and people living with dementia across New Zealand, Australia, Indonesia, and Vietnam by developing a web-based virtual assistant based on the World Health Organization (WHO)’s iSupport for Dementia programme. It was jointly funded by the governments of the four e-DiVA countries through the NHMRC e-ASIA Joint Research Program.
The project was delivered in collaboration with key partners, including the WHO, Alzheimer's Disease International, as well as dementia and age care organisations across the four countries. We are especially grateful for the support from Alzheimers NZ, Dementia NZ, Aphasia NZ, and Rauawaawa Kaumatua Charitable Trust in developing the NZ version.
The international online launch will be held on Thursday, 15 May 2025 at 3:30 – 6:30 PM (New Zealand Standard Time)
Please register for the event via this link or download the flyer and scan the QR code.
Feel free to share this invitation with your colleagues and networks who may be interested in attending.
The event will be opened by Professor Tracy Comans (Director of Australian National Ageing Research Institute), and will feature keynote presentations by:
- Dr Kaele Stokes, Executive Director – Services, Advocacy & Research, Dementia Australia
- Dr Katrin Seeher, Mental Health Specialist and Dementia Lead, World Health Organization
We will also host a stakeholder panel discussion on the role of digital health in dementia care and support.
We look forward to welcoming you to this important event.
Warm regards,
The e-DiVA NZ team
