New Zealand is the first country in the world that is proactively taking a ‘whole of system’ approach in falls prevention.

Collaboration between ACC, the Ministry of Health and the Health Quality and Safety Commission has generated the ‘Live Stronger for Longer’ website, a fantastic source of information around preventing falls and fractures, and maintaining independence.  There is a raft of information and resources available for individuals, care givers, health professionals or anyone with an interest in this area. There is even full information about exercise classes close to where you live, including costs, days/times and contact details. Check it out at: livestronger.org.nz
