Kia ora Karen,

I sincerely appreciate the HOPE Foundation scholarship I have received for the 2024 year. This financial support will significantly help my PhD research. It will enable me to access resources and tools necessary for advancing my PhD research, support with data collection costs, and research dissemination costs. I intend to begin my qualitative data collection in 2024, so this fund will be hugely helpful with that. It will also directly impact my ability to engage in meaningful research activities and network with experts in the gerontological field.

I am committed to maximising this opportunity by producing valuable research outcomes and contributing to the well-being of older people. Your support of my education will not only help my professional development but also support the broader ageing research community. I was fortunate to have received the HOPE Foundation Scholarship in 2021 as well, and that supported me in the earlier stages of my PhD development and the quantitative phase of my study. I have included the list of research dissemination activities I could participate in due to the support I received. In all these presentations, I acknowledged the support I received from the HOPE Foundation.

Thank you once again for your trust and support. I look forward to making the most of this scholarship and using it to further my research endeavours.

Nga mihi nui,

Rubina Bogati
